Donahue Peebles III, Founder and Chairman of Legacy Real Estate Development, is a Washington, D.C. native and Columbia University graduate, earning his Bachelor’s of Economics in 2016. Upon completing his degree, Donahue immediately began cultivating his personal legacy working side-by-side with his father, Don Peebles, to propagate the continued success of the family’s namesake real estate development firm. His early executive work includes managing the development of office, hospitality, and condominium product, with notable projects like 108 Leonard in Manhattan, 10 G Green Street in Washington D.C. in his portfolio.
As Executive Vice President at The Peebles Corporation, Donahue steers the company’s the day-to-day efforts in and leads an experienced acquisitions and development team focused on public-private partnerships who consistently exceed public benefit and diversity and inclusion goals nationwide.
Donahue founded Legacy in 2017 as a means for The Peebles Corporation achieve its affordable housing goals across its national portfolio. In collaboration with his business partner and CEO, Jerrod Delaine, Donahue has realized his vision for Legacy to invest in growing development capacity among people of color through his invaluable affordable and workforce housing development and finance expertise.
Demonstrating his commitment to equity, inclusion and sustainability, Donahue’s efforts extend far beyond the conference room. He serves the Washington D.C., New York City and Miami communities through via various philanthropic endeavors that benefit and expose youth to various opportunities in entrepreneurship. Donahue actively works with various organizations working to improve the quality of life of impoverished and special needs individuals on a global scale, including the New York City Mission Society, Best Buddies, Harlem Mothers S.A.V.E. He also serves on the Boards of SE Tennis, Heroes DC Foundation and Learning Center and Silver Art Projects, the Silverstein Family Art Foundation.
He has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Business Insider and Gotham Magazine for his contributions to affordable housing development. His efforts and aptitude also awarded him the title as the youngest ever recipient of D.C.’s Affordable Housing Trust Funds.

As a seasoned Real Estate Developer with over a decade of experience, Jerrod has amassed a uniquely diverse skill set that includes Design, Construction, Finance, Affordable Housing, and Asset Management.

Jerrod spent the first five years of his career at Forum Architecture and Interior Design where his efforts focused on project managing affordable housing projects in the southeast region of the United States. He then parlayed that experience into the role of Director of Development at Carthage Advisors, a black-owned, Harlem-based development firm. The Carthage business model concentrated on the preservation and development of affordable housing in the Metro New York Area, where the typical financing instrument was Low Income Housing Tax Credits and Tax-Exempt Bonds. In this position, Jerrod led crucial Asset Management for acquisition rehab deals, where acquiring existing properties and performing tenant-in-place renovations is both an art and a science when maintaining the quality of life during the rehabilitation phase is of the utmost importance. Jerrod led negotiations with tenant association leaders, community organizers, and general resident meetings.
After 8 years as Development Director at Carthage, Jerrod joined Donahue Peebles III to build Legacy, a value-based company committed to utilizing access to capital markets, improving communities through real estate finance and development, where he is now the CEO. Demonstrating his lifelong commitment to education, Jerrod continues to serve as an adjunct professor at both his alma mater, NYU, and Pratt Institute, educating both Graduate and Undergraduate students with an aptitude for development, public-private partnerships, urban economics, and portfolio management.
With decades of experience defined by various awards and accolades and amassed through three degrees, and countless prosperous acquisitions and developments, Jerrod is regarded as an authority and thought leader in urban housing policy.

He has also developed a highly effective and comprehensive systematic methodology that allows him to evaluate the viability of winning bids across the country, leveraging his extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local subsidy sources. In addition to these skills, Roberto excels at managing development projects from proposal to completion, bringing his years of experience and industry know-how to every project he oversees. Roberto is also an active member of the Harvard Real Estate Alumni Organization (HREAO) and the Harvard Club of New York (HCNY), continuously engaging in interest groups and networking events related to the real estate industry and capital markets.

Jennifer’s experience includes working as a Full-Charge Bookkeeper, Administrator, and Office Manager for firms of all sizes. With experience in the Architecture, Legal, Accounting, Real Estate, Roofing, Plumbing, Construction & Property Management fields, Jennifer is uniquely positioned to manage and oversee various account activities, as her industry knowledge is cross-collaborative Jennifer’s attention to detail and meticulous work product allow her to excel in all aspects of work, from day-to-day tasks to the management of her team of professionals.
Jennifer attended Mercy College and obtained an Associate of Science degree in Business Administration, with a specialization in Accounting.
